European Conference on Economics and Management of Energy in Industry

The 5TH EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT OF ENERGY IN INDUSTRY (ECEMEI-5) which will be held in Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal, at Hotel Dom Pedro Golf Resort, 14-17 April 2009 (week after Easter), will present an opportunity for reviewing major events and developments related to supply and demand of energy in Industry. Topics to be dealt with will centre on the Economics of EnergyIndustry on one hand and the Management of energy as an industrial input on the other hand.
The Conference is organized by Prof. Geoffrey Hammond ( University of Bath , United Kingdom ), Prof. Robert W. Grubbstrom (Linkoping Institute of Technology, Sweden ) and Prof. Albino Reis ( Cenertec -Centro de Energia e Tecnologia , Portugal ).
Authors wishing to present papers should submit extended abstracts of about 1500 words stating clearly and concisely the purpose of the paper, the method of approach, significant results and conclusions. The names, affiliations and emails of all Authors should be included. The extended abstract should be forwarded by 30 November 2008 to Prof. Albino Reis at the following email address cenertec@cenertec.pt. English is the official language of the Conference.

The registration fee will be 760 euro with a 25% reduction for Ph.D. Students, the fee including the CD ROM of the Proceedings, Welcome Dinner, Lunches, Coffee-breaks, Tour and Farewell Dinner. The cost of a room (whether single or double) will be 100 euro!
This is a pleasant Venue. The weather is usually good, you can walk along the Marina and have a nice dinner in one of the many Restaurants available, there are nice places to visit in the Conference Tour, etc. It is a very pleasant place for you to bring your family.
